They met playing water polo, inner tube water polo to be exact, a detail that was brought up in several of the speeches.  Personally I had never heard of inner tube water polo so that was a first for me.  I’m sure some bad jokes were also made about them meeting during a water sport and their wedding day being one of the wettest of the month…wait there weren’t?  Regardless, they handled the unpredictable weather like champs and rolled with the punches mother nature dealt that day.  Their planned outdoor ceremony quickly turned into a tented ceremony heated by a crackling fireplace.   Rain came down as they exchanged their vows and the temperature was unseasonably low but watching them you could tell that they didn’t notice the rain or the cold.  Sonja and David were surrounded by loved ones from around the world and hadn’t a care in the world, exactly how it should be on your wedding day.

It was such a blessing to start out the wedding season with Sonja and David’s wedding day.  These two were so relaxed, so in love and just so much fun!
